EVALUATION CRITERIA
The aim of the Lean Project 2015 Competition is to acknowledge projects that bring tangible and measurable results, mainly in the field of direct financial and OPEX savings and operation time reduction. In the first place, the projects should identify and reduce waste – e.g. overproduction, excessive inventories, defects, downtimes, useless transport etc.
Therefore, we will also use standard measurable indicators, acknowledged by the whole world, to assess the actual benefit of competing product.
• Lead Time – continuous production time, or more precisely its reduction
• Batch size optimization
• Reduction of the changeover/set-up time
• Percentage of the value-adding activities and its change (value chain)
• TPM – Total Productive Maintenance – maintenance optimization/maintenance time reduction
Naturally, not every project fits a predefined pattern. Thus, we shall evaluate all competing projects individually and – as we believe – fairly.
